Weinsepphof

The Weinsepphof was built in 1980 and takes its name from the Winesap apple variety that originally grew on the property. Today, sadly only a single Winesap tree remains on the farm. In 2019, Josef Holzner took over the estate, carrying on the family business in its third generation. Here, tradition, authenticity, and a passion for premium fruit cultivation come together.

The first idea

It all started with the hard-to-market red-fleshed apples on the farm. Josef Holzner first experimented with unfiltered apple juice, which quickly became a hit among friends and house guests. The apple's vibrant acidity soon opened up new possibilities – the juice deserved a stage beyond classic apple juice.

Inspired by the Italian aperitivo culture, the idea was born: Transform the apple juice into a unique non-alcoholic aperitif. After extensive experimentation, Sparkling Rocco was created – a product that perfectly showcases the distinctive aromas of the red-fleshed apple and delights our customers every day at the aperitivo.

Where passion meets taste

Because good things grow better together, Josef's close friend Florian Lair joined the venture in February 2023. Together, they now bring Sparkling Rocco to even more people who appreciate the finer things – always with the ambition to see the extraordinary in the ordinary and create moments of pleasure that last.
