Gold & silver rush at the Cider World Award 2026
it has been proven once again: Sparkling Rocco is among the absolute world elite in the non-alcoholic segment. The world's best ciders were recently crowned in Frankfurt – and we had double reason to celebrate! In the fiercely contested category of Non-Alcoholic Ciders we were able to show that the highest enjoyment and quality are not a question of percentages.
What exactly was assessed?
An award at the Cider World Award is not handed out just like that. The international expert jury reviewed all submissions in a rigorous process based on five key criteria:
- Appearance: Are the colour and the finesse of the perlage right?
- Aroma: How pure is the scent and how intense the variety of aromas?
- Taste: Do the purity, intensity and lasting finish on the palate convince?
- Typicity: Is the stated style perfectly captured?
- Overall impression: The grand finale – how harmonious is the interplay of all components?
🥇 The category winner: Sparkling Rocco – Classic
Our Classic completely won over the jury and was officially crowned category winner (Gold) in the non-alcoholic cider category. With a sensational score of 116.3 out of 120 points it came only a hair's breadth away from perfection.
The experts' verdict: “A pleasant red hue, an excellent non-alcoholic sparkling cider. Juicy in character with a perfectly balanced ratio of sweetness and fresh acidity.”
This success confirms our path: a non-alcoholic cider can (and should!) be just as complex and elegant as a classic sparkling wine.
🥈 The bold character: Sparkling Rocco – Spicy Honey
Our spicy variant, the Spicy Honey, also shone in Frankfurt and secured the silver medal with a strong 97 points.
Here the jury highlighted above all the fresh and intense aromas. While it was described as somewhat fuller in body („heavy on the palate“), the experts praised its high quality and lively freshness. A cider for everyone looking for something special and an intense taste experience.
Conclusion: World class in a glass
