Gold Rush & Ginger-Honey Silver at the Cider World Award 2026
The proof is in the glass: Sparkling Rocco is officially among the world’s elite in the non-alcoholic sector. In Frankfurt, the best ciders worldwide were recently honored – and we had two reasons to celebrate! In the fiercely competitive category of Non-Alcoholic Ciders, we proved that premium enjoyment and quality are not a matter of alcohol content.
What exactly was evaluated?
A Cider World Award is not handed out lightly. The international jury of experts scrutinized all entries in a rigorous process based on five central criteria:
- Appearance: Are the hue and the finesse of the perlage (bubbles) just right?
- Aroma: How pure is the scent and how intense is the variety of aromas?
- Taste: Does the purity, intensity, and finish on the palate impress?
- Typicity: Is the specified production style perfectly achieved?
- Overall Impression: The grand finale – how harmonious is the interplay of all components?
🥇 The Category Winner: Sparkling Rocco – Classic
Our Classic completely won over the jury and was officially named the Category Winner (Gold) in the non-alcoholic cider division. With a sensational score of 116.3 out of 120 points, it came incredibly close to perfection.
The Experts' Verdict: "Pleasant red colour, excellent alcohol free sparkling cider, juice-like, well balanced sugar and fresh acidity."
This success validates our path: a non-alcoholic cider can (and should!) be just as complex and elegant as a classic sparkling wine.
🥈 The Character Piece: Sparkling Rocco – Spicy Honey
Our bold variant, Spicy Honey, also shined in Frankfurt, securing the silver medal with a strong 97 points.
The jury particularly highlighted the fresh and intense aromas. While described as being slightly heavier on the palate ("heavy on the palate"), the experts praised the high quality and vibrant freshness. A cider for those seeking something special and an intense taste experience.
